Guido Busetto and his wife Nobuko Hashimoto studied at the Institute of Oenology at the University of Bordeaux before acquiring Castello di Selvole, in the heart of Chianti Classico DOCG, in 1998. Together with Yves Glories as oenologist and Stefano Porcinai as viticulturist they have improved the quality at the 40 hectare estate, so that today it is recognized as one of the best in the region.
