Domaine du Clos Frantin -
Nuits-Saint-Georges
The Domaine du Clos Frantin covers 13 hectares in the Cote de Nuits including 8 hectares of Premier and Grand Crus. The Domaine has vineyards in the villages of Flagey-Echezeaux, Gevrey Chambertin, Nuits Saint Georges, Vosne Romanee and Vougeot. Vinification is now undertaken at the historic Clos de Lupe winery at the southern approach to Nuits Saint Georges.
The Domaine has received many accolades for its wines in recent years winning the Decanter International Pinot Noir Trophy in 2004 for the Clos Frantin Echezeaux, and contributed substantially to the naming of proprietor Albert Bichot as red wine maker of the year at the 2004 International Wine Challenge.
