Gregory Perrucci and his wife Elisabetta Goria founded Accademia dei Racemi in 1999 to enhance the quality of the wines in Puglia and to bring these wines to a wider market. Accademia Dei Racemi brings together the a number of existing wineries whose wines are sold under their original lablels. The aim is to produce quality wines made exclusively from indigenous varieties, principally Primitivo, to emphasise the Puglia tradition.
